A significant milestone for OOGPLUS, the company has successfully completed the international shipping of a large-scale cargo of 15 steel equipment units, including steel ladles, tank body, totaling 1,890 cubic meters. The shipment, transported from Taicang Port in China to Altamira Port in Mexico, represents a major achievement for the company in securing client recognition in a highly competitive bidding process.
This successful project was made possible by OOGPLUS’s extensive experience in handling oversized and heavy cargo, particularly in transporting large steel ladles internationally. Previously, my team executed a similar project using the BBK (multi flat racks by container ship) model, successfully shipping three steel ladles from Shanghai, China to Manzanillo, Mexico,During that shipment, our company closely monitored the entire process, including loading, transportation, and port handling. Therefore, during this transportation, our company promptly provided the customers with a transportation plan, and at the same time, we also became aware of the key points to be noted during the transportation of large equipment. While the client initially requested a shipment from Shanghai, but OOGPLUS's team conducted a thorough analysis and proposed a more cost-effective solution—utilizing a break bulk vessel instead of the traditional BBK method. This alternative not only met all transport requirements but also provided significant savings for the client.
One of the key strategic decisions made by OOGPLUS was relocating the loading port from Shanghai to Taicang. Taicang offers regular sailing schedules to Altamira, making it an ideal origin point for this particular shipment. Additionally, the company opted for a route that traverses the Panama Canal, significantly reducing transit time compared to the longer alternative route across the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean. Therefore, the client accepted our company's plan.

The sheer volume of cargo required careful planning and execution. The 15 steel equipment units were loaded onto the deck of the vessel, necessitating expert stowage and securing arrangements. OOGPLUS’s professional lashing and securing team played a crucial role in ensuring the safety and stability of the cargo throughout the voyage. Their expertise ensured that the goods arrived at their destination intact and without incident.
“This project is a testament to our commitment to delivering tailored logistics solutions,” said Bavuon, Overseas Sales Representative at OOGPLUS’s Kunshan Branch. “Our team’s ability to analyze and adapt previous transport models allowed us to provide a more efficient and economical option for our client, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability.”The success of this operation underscores OOGPLUS’s capabilities as a leading freight forwarder for oversized and project cargo.
